Qualifications

• CPA certification is required.
• 5+ years of technical accounting experience, preferably in a public company.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606, ASC 842, Pre-IPO accounting, and SEC reporting requirements.
• Experience with financial reporting software such as Workiva or SEC EDGAR.
• Ability to manage teams and project engagements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical accounting guidance, including research and interpretation of accounting standards, preparation of accounting memos, and analysis of complex accounting transactions.
• Review and assist with the preparation of financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, including 10-Ks and 10-Qs.
• Ensure compliance with new accounting standards, including ASC 606 and ASC 842, and provide guidance on implementation.
• Assist with the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
• Manage teams and project engagements, including overseeing the work of staff and senior accountants.
• Assist with due diligence related to potential acquisitions and other special projects.
• Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members on technical accounting matters.
• Communicate with external auditors and other stakeholders regarding technical accounting matters.
• Stay current on changes to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
