Job summary

USIC is seeking a Senior Manager of Technical Accounting to lead complex accounting issues and ensure GAAP compliance. You will translate guidance into practical business insights for finance and operations leaders, partnering with executives to shape financial reporting and controls.

The role requires 6–9 years of experience, a CPA or equivalent, and strong communication skills to influence non-financial stakeholders in a fast-growing environment. Hybrid in-office schedule in Indianapolis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• CPA or equivalent professional certification is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 6–9 years of relevant experience in technical accounting, audit, or related roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level technical accounting guidance on complex issues including revenue recognition, leases, financial instruments, business combinations, and equity transactions.
• Stay up to date on US GAAP and regulatory changes and communicate practical impact to non-accounting stakeholders.
• Prepare technical accounting memos and financial statement disclosures for business decision-makers.
• Partner with Legal, IT, Operations, Controllership, FP&A to resolve complex accounting issues.
