Job description

This role plays a pivotal part in evaluating and executing strategic initiatives, investments, and business development opportunities across a global group’s U.S. energy portfolio and affiliates. You’ll map out the AI infrastructure technology landscape, assess the commercial potential of emerging energy technologies, and identify strategic investment advantages. You’ll also lead commercial and financial due diligence, structure strategic partnerships, and deliver actionable recommendations for executive leadership.

Working closely with internal investment teams, portfolio executives, and external partners, you’ll build robust commercial models, author investment committee materials, and drive cross-functional workstreams that advance the group’s long‑term growth objectives in the U.S. energy and AI infrastructure markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market Intelligence & Opportunity Sourcing: Monitor and analyze market dynamics, strategic movements, and evolving pain points of AI data center developers and hyperscalers, proactively identifying differentiated power solutions, advanced technologies, and target operating companies
  • Strategic Advisory & Value Creation Assessment: Engage directly with sourced technology providers and energy companies to evaluate their technological capabilities and commercial growth potential, defining the strategic imperatives required to scale their operations
  • Investment Execution & Project Lifecycle Management: Translate strategic insights into action by leading financial due diligence, investment appraisal, and profitability modeling, plus end‑to‑end design, planning, and execution management of Proof of Concept (PoC) initiatives
  • Cross‑Functional & External Alignment: Serve as a central coordinator across internal teams (investment, technical, and operational) and external strategic partners to secure alignment on key initiatives
  • Ad‑Hoc Strategic & Commercial Analysis: Execute rigorous, cross‑disciplinary analyses covering strategic positioning, technical feasibility, project valuation, and commercial deal structures as business priorities shift
Required Qualifications
  • 3-8 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, corporate development, private equity, venture capital, or investment analysis (preferably within the energy, infrastructure, or technology sectors)
  • Advanced expertise in commercial modeling, financial valuation, and structuring business cases
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical rigor, and structured problem‑solving capabilities
  • Proven track record of developing executive‑level presentations, investment memos, and strategic planning materials
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multi‑disciplinary workstreams and lead cross‑functional alignment with internal and external leadership
  • Outstanding communication, organizational, and project management skills
  • Ability to thrive in an agile, high‑growth, and collaborative cross‑border corporate environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the AI industry, power, energy, or infrastructure sectors
  • Experience analyzing start‑ups and high‑tech companies in the AI industry
