Job summary

Jobtailor in Acton, MA is seeking an experienced Head of Talent Acquisition to lead recruiting for manufacturing, supply chain, operations, and procurement across global sites.

You will forecast hiring needs, maintain capacity models, develop sourcing strategies, mentor recruiters, and champion inclusive, compliant hiring while partnering with senior leaders to align talent with production schedules and expansion plans.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience in talent acquisition or HR leadership.
  • Minimum of 10 years of full-cycle recruitment experience across manufacturing, supply chain, operations and procurement.
  • Proven success in leading recruitment teams, with oversight of daily operations, performance coaching, and process optimization.
  • Global Manufacturing & Operations expertise: experience supporting high-volume manufacturing, global supply chain, and strategic procurement initiatives.
  • Decision-making agility: ability to make sound independent decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Multitasking & prioritization: manage multiple requisitions and projects with execution focus.
  • Autonomous execution: work independently while aligning with business goals.

  • Monitor ATS metrics and KPIs to optimize recruiter performance and hiring velocity.
  • Coach and mentor recruiters to enhance expertise in manufacturing and supply chain talent acquisition.
  • Champion inclusive hiring practices across all sites with diverse candidate slates.
  • Promote the company through campaigns, job fairs, and partnerships with technical schools.

  • Collaborate with the Director of Recruiting and manufacturing leadership to forecast hiring needs aligned with production schedules and global expansion plans.
  • Maintain a dynamic capacity model to ensure recruiting resources are aligned with factory ramp-ups, supply chain shifts, and procurement cycles.
  • Develop sourcing strategies for roles in plant operations, automation, quality, materials management, and supplier development.
  • Leverage competitive intelligence and labor market data to inform hiring decisions in high-demand manufacturing regions.
  • Conduct proactive talent mapping for critical manufacturing roles, including direct labor, engineering, and leadership positions.
  • Build pipelines for emerging manufacturing technologies and global supply chain capabilities.
  • Ensure recruiting processes meet compliance standards for manufacturing hiring, including labor law, safety certifications, and diversity goals.
  • Monitor ATS metrics and KPIs to optimize recruiter performance and hiring velocity across global factory sites.
  • Coach and mentor recruiters to build expertise in manufacturing and supply chain talent acquisition.
  • Champion inclusive hiring practices across all manufacturing sites, ensuring diverse candidate slates for leadership and technical roles.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; equivalent experience in talent acquisition or HR leadership will be considered.
  • Minimum of 10 years of full‑cycle recruitment experience, with a proven track record of hiring across manufacturing, supply chain, operations, and procurement functions.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and managing recruitment teams, including oversight of daily operations, performance coaching, and process optimization.
  • Global Manufacturing & Operations Expertise: Prior experience supporting high‑volume manufacturing environments, global supply chain teams, and strategic procurement initiatives.
