Position Summary...

In this role, you’ll lead the day-to-day execution and operational performance of Walmart’s Big & Bulky supply chain business, helping ensure large-item merchandise moves efficiently through the fulfillment and delivery network. You’ll use data, performance insights, and cross-functional partnerships to identify operational issues, resolve service disruptions, and improve execution across transportation, fulfillment, and delivery operations.

You’ll work closely with the stakeholders and carriers to execute business priorities, monitor key performance indicators, and implement operational improvements that enhance customer experience, service reliability, efficiency, and cost performance. You’ll also lead and develop a team responsible for delivering consistent operational results and driving accountability across the business.

About the Team

The Big & Bulky team supports the fulfillment and delivery of large-item merchandise, connecting transportation, fulfillment operations, delivery providers, merchandising, and other supply chain partners to deliver a reliable customer experience.

Our team focuses on operational execution, performance visibility, issue resolution, and continuous improvement across the Big & Bulky network. We work collaboratively with internal teams and external service providers to address operational challenges, improve delivery performance, manage costs, and ensure business priorities are translated into measurable results.

What you'll do...
  • Lead Operational Execution: Oversee day-to-day Big & Bulky supply chain operations, ensuring effective execution across fulfillment, transportation, and delivery processes. Identify and resolve operational issues, service disruptions, and execution gaps that impact customers and business performance.
  • Manage Business Performance: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators, including on-time delivery, delivery speed, customer experience, capacity, productivity, and cost. Identify performance gaps, conduct root-cause analysis, and drive corrective actions to improve results.
  • Drive Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with transportation, fulfillment operations, merchandising, customer care, technology, and other stakeholders to resolve operational constraints, improve coordination, and ensure consistent execution of business priorities.
  • Support Delivery Partner Performance: Work with internal and external delivery partners to monitor service performance, communicate operational expectations, resolve escalations, and drive accountability through performance reviews and scorecards.
  • Execute Continuous Improvement: Identify process inefficiencies, operational gaps, and cost-reduction opportunities. Lead the implementation of practical improvements that strengthen service reliability, simplify workflows, reduce waste, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Manage Initiatives and Operational Priorities: Execute initiatives and business priorities established by leadership. Coordinate implementation activities, manage timelines, track progress, identify risks, and elevate barriers to ensure successful delivery of expected outcomes.
  • Provide Operational Insights and Reporting: Develop and maintain performance reporting, operational scorecards, and business updates. Translate data into actionable insights, communicate risks and opportunities, and provide recommendations to support timely operational decisions.
What You’ll Bring
  • Strong understanding of supply chain operations, transportation, fulfillment, last-mile delivery, or large-item logistics, with the ability to manage complex operational processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage day-to-day operations, monitor business performance, resolve escalations, and deliver measurable improvements in service, efficiency, and cost.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience using operational data, performance metrics, and root-cause analysis to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Experience collaborating across multiple business functions and working with internal and external partners to coordinate execution and resolve operational challenges.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, maintain operational discipline, and make sound decisions that balance customer experience, service performance, capacity, and cost.
  • Experience leading operational initiatives, implementing process improvements, and driving accountability for results in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and relationship-management skills, with the ability to clearly communicate performance results, operational risks, and recommended actions to leadership and business partners.
