Job summary

Abbott Laboratories is seeking a Senior Manager of Site Supply Chain at the Lake County Manufacturing Site. The role oversees end-to-end supply, from raw materials to finished goods, ensuring inventory targets and cost expectations are met.

The position manages day-to-day supply and logistics, coordinates with manufacturing, quality, engineering and R&D, and leads staff development to meet site targets. Travel up to 10% is required.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree required.
• Minimum 7 years related experience.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Procurement, Supply Chain or Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day supply and logistics activities to maximize efficiency, reliability, timeliness, and cost effectiveness of the organization's supply chain.
• Materials planning and control, procurement, inventory management, production activity support services, intermediate supply management, and finished goods delivery.
• Develop and implement schedules and procedures.
• Allocate resources to meet targets across planning, production activity control, and scheduling.
• Liaise with manufacturing, quality, engineering and R&D to align supply activities with business.
• Select and manage relationships with major suppliers, vendors, or subcontractors to minimize costs and ensure service standards.
• Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop staff to optimize resource use and meet targets.

Lake County Manufacturing Site currently has an opportunity for a Senior Manager of Site Supply Chain. The incumbent will plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of end-to-end supply, including raw material procurement, intermediate and finishing manufacturing and associated inventory to ensure inventory levels are maintained within both supply and cost expectations and delivery targets are achieved.

• Manage day-to-day supply and logistics activities to maximize efficiency, reliability, timeliness, and cost effectiveness of the organization's supply chain.
• Activities may include materials planning and control, procurement, inventory management, production activity support services, intermediate supply management, and finished goods delivery.
• Develop and implement schedules and procedures.
• Allocate resources to meet targets across all areas of site planning, production activity control, and scheduling.
• Liaise with functional and operational area managers (e.g., in manufacturing, quality, engineer and R&D) to ensure supply activities are integrated with other parts of the business.
• Select and manage ongoing relationships with major suppliers, vendors, or sub-contractors to minimize costs and ensure satisfactory standards of service.
• Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop staff to ensure resources are used effectively and work schedules and targets are met.

The base pay for this position is $129,300.00 - $258,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
