Job summary

The University of Louisville seeks a Manager of Student Financial Aid to lead the FOSM team within the Student Financial Aid Office. You will supervise staff, manage scholarship/state aid programs, and ensure accurate awarding and disbursement of student aid.

You will collaborate with state agencies and campus partners, use PeopleSoft and Workday for reporting, and mentor staff while improving workflows and controls. A Master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and four (4) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience administering scholarships and state aid programs is preferred.
• Knowledge of federal and state financial aid requirements and the coordination of aid from multiple sources.
• Experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and Workday Finance.

Responsibilities

• Staff supervision and workflow management within the Financial Aid office.
• Scholarship and state aid administration from eligibility through awarding and disbursement.
• State agency reporting, reconciliation, and coordination with partners.
• Athletics and campus partnership award coordination and communications.
• Fiscal operations, account monitoring, and internal controls.
• Systems, queries, and data quality using approved reporting tools.
• Compliance, procedures, and quality assurance for assigned programs.
• Counsel students and families on aid applications, eligibility, and award changes.
• Train staff and partners; drive process improvements and automation.
• Team leadership and continuity during peak processing periods.
• Occasional overnight travel may be required.
