Join us to apply for the Senior Manager, Strategy & Operations role at Flex.

Flex is a growth-stage, NYC-headquartered FinTech company revolutionizing rent payments. Our mission is to empower renters with flexible payment options, making on-time rent payments easier and more adaptable to individual financial situations.

The Strategy & Operations team acts as the core communicator of company strategy, culture, and operational practices across departments. This role involves developing frameworks, project planning, financial modeling, research, and analysis, placing you at the strategic heart of the company. You'll collaborate closely with peers, leadership, and founders, gaining valuable experience in leading a consumer fintech enterprise.

You will report to the Sr. Director of Strategy & Operations, managing impactful projects from strategy to execution, with a diverse portfolio spanning enterprise-level initiatives.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead strategic projects with the Executive team, overseeing end-to-end processes from development to execution.
  • Provide research and analysis to support decision-making, presenting clear recommendations and trade-offs.
  • Improve processes, enhance collaboration, and identify cost optimization opportunities.
  • Review and design team structures to address skill gaps aligned with business needs.
  • Create monthly executive memos summarizing progress and facilitate review meetings for strategic discussions.
  • Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, managing complex problems with agility.
  • Operate efficiently under pressure, maintaining high productivity and constructive debate.
Who You Are
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in investment banking, management consulting, startup strategy, strategic finance, biz ops, or chief of staff roles.
  • Experience with high-growth tech/fintech companies preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with enthusiasm for building from the ground up.
  • Strong conceptual thinking and quick decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage amorphous projects and make them tractable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to drive results while maintaining relationships.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Bias for action, attention to detail, and high standards for work quality.
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills.

The compensation for this role will be aligned with experience and company guidelines, with base salaries ranging from $196,000 to $213,000 in NY/NJ/CA, and $176,000 to $190,000 elsewhere.
