Job summary

PwC is seeking a State and Local Tax Financial Services Senior Manager in Boston to lead large projects and drive process innovations. You will focus on business restructuring, new tax laws, and local tax developments, aligning state tax plans with client business strategies.

You will mentor teams, engage with clients at a strategic level, and deliver compliant, high-quality tax solutions while upholding PwC's standards of ethics and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 6+ years of experience required.
• CPA, Bar or other tax/finance credentials may qualify for this opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Lead state and local tax projects for financial services clients, including business restructuring and tax law adoption.
• Assess client tax burdens and recommend solutions aligned with business objectives and laws.
• Transform risk and compliance challenges into business advantages by aligning state tax plans with business strategies.
• Manage issues related to abandoned and unclaimed property, income and franchise tax, payroll and employment tax, credits and incentives, and indirect tax.
• Navigate complex cross-border engagements with diverse teams to deliver client-focused solutions.
• Initiate and lead open conversations with teams and stakeholders to build trust and collaboration.
• Contribute technical knowledge in local taxes and multistate compliance to enhance service delivery.
