Job Description

Experian Marketing Services is looking for a dynamic and experienced manager to lead our engineering team, which is building a Cloud Data Platform ecosystem. This platform will facilitate the migration of existing users from legacy components and handle large volumes of data in a highly available and scalable environment.

This role can be worked remotely and reports to the Sr. Director, Data Platform Engineering.

We ask that you have both managerial and hands-on coding skills. The amount of time spent with hands-on development will fluctuate based on team needs.

You Will

• Manage and expand the team responsible for building a Cloud Data Platform ecosystem, including migrating users from legacy systems and processing large datasets.
• Oversee global teams located in North America, Europe, and South America.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Cloud Data Platform technologies.
• Lead technically by breaking down complex problems and driving the team's vision.
• Communicate effectively with product partners regarding timelines, challenges, and needs.
• Monitor and manage the platform's budget and operational expenses.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with Data Processing Technologies, especially in Cloud environments, including design and coding.
• 5+ years leading engineering teams of over 10 members, preferably across multiple regions and cultures.
• Experience in cost analysis, performance tuning, and code optimization on Cloud Data Platforms.
• Successful record of launching secure, scalable cloud data processing applications with automation (DevOps) practices.
• Proficiency with tech-stack such as Scala/Java, Spark, AWS/Azure/GCP, Airflow/DataFactory, Snowflake/AWS Athena/BigQuery, EKS/EC2/Lambda, Terraform, or similar.
