CivicPlus is seeking a Senior Manager of Software Development to lead multiple technology teams. You will drive product development transforming citizen-government interactions and ensure high production quality.

You will partner with senior leaders to shape technical direction, roadmap, and long-term outcomes while mentoring engineers and growing high-performing teams. This role emphasizes AI-enabled improvements and enterprise-scale software practices.

Qualifications

• Strong background in software engineering with a focus on high quality, performant software and enterprise-level projects.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in software development.

• Relationship Building: Build relationships with aligned leaders to drive collaboration, trust, and coordination on projects and processes.
• Efficiency and Standardization: Collaborate with technology leaders to champion efforts for reuse, standardization, and efficiency by implementing streamlined processes and procedures.
• Team Development: Lead the recruitment, hiring, and training of staff, focusing on building a strong team skilled in developing high-quality, performant software.
• Architectural Partnership: Partner with teams, architects, and other technical leaders on application architecture, ensuring adherence to enterprise architecture strategies.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentoring for development teams, staying engaged with team metrics and project progress, and understanding high-level architecture and deployment pipelines.
• Technical Roadmap: Work with development teams to develop a technical roadmap for products, collaborating with operational and strategic counterparts to ensure proactive measures for product health and technological advancements.

Compensation And Benefits

• Estimated Salary Grade Range: $145,000 - $225,000
• Anticipated hiring budget: $200,000 - $215,000.
• The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and is based on a 40-hour work week.
