CivicPlus is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to own and evolve platform domains such as CI/CD and Kubernetes, shaping cloud foundations and tooling. You will lead design efforts, define IaC standards, and drive reliability, security, and scalability across production systems.

You will mentor engineers, partner with SRE on reliability reviews, and contribute to the platform roadmap while exploring AI-assisted tooling to boost productivity and outcomes.

Competenze

• 5–8 years of engineering experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, or cloud operations.
• Expert-level Terraform: module authoring, state management, remote backends, and governance.
• Production Kubernetes expertise: cluster lifecycle, networking, storage, security policies, and multi-tenancy.
• Strong multi-cloud experience with AWS and Azure preferred.
• Proficiency in Python or Go for automation and tooling development.
• Experience designing CI/CD architectures for large engineering organizations.
• AI-forward mindset with ability to leverage AI tools to improve productivity.

The Senior Platform Engineer is a key technical leader on the Platform Engineering team, independently owning platform domains and driving their evolution. You design systems; not just implement them. You identify reliability, security, and scalability risks before they materialize, and you lead the technical response when they do.

• 5–8 years of engineering experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, or cloud operations with a track record of owning production systems end-to-end.
• Expert-level Terraform: module authoring, state management, remote backends, and governance.
• Production Kubernetes expertise: cluster lifecycle, networking (CNI), storage, security policies, and multi‑tenancy.
• Strong multi‑cloud experience (AWS and Azure preferred).
• Proficiency in Python or Go for automation and tooling development.
• Experience designing CI/CD architectures for large engineering organizations.
• AI‑forward mindset with a demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to improve productivity, decision‑making, and work quality.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively use AI tools to enhance productivity and outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

• Estimated Salary Grade Range: $104,400 - $156,600
  
  • The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and is based on a 40-hour work week.
• If applicable - Potential Variable Pay: Based on set quotas or goals or targets (Select the most appropriate)
