Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County (HOC) is seeking a Manager for Single Family Programs in Silver Spring, MD. This senior role manages the Mortgage Finance Division’s single-family operations, including Mortgage Purchase and down payment assistance programs, coordinating with Compliance, Legal, and Finance.

The incumbent will apply extensive knowledge of single-family mortgage programs, bond financing, underwriting, and servicing.

Qualifications

• At least ten years of progressively responsible experience in single-family mortgage operations, including underwriting, closing, and servicing, and experience with mortgage finance with state and local finance agencies.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee single-family operations of the Mortgage Finance Division, including interaction with internal and external stakeholders such as Trustee, Financial Advisor, Bond Counsel, Loan Servicers, Lenders, Realtors, HOC Staff, HOC Commissioners, local Government staff representatives, among others.
• Supervise single-family personnel.
• Develop and coordinate internal and external training and orientation programs related to HOC's single-family mortgage programs
• Evaluate current and new applicants for HOC's Mortgage Purchase Program.
• Responsible for the preparation of quarterly reports to the Commission.
• Act as subject matter expert regarding single-family mortgage activities and programs, including mortgage-backed securities.
