Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Marlborough, MA is seeking a Senior Manager, Shared Services VMO to act as the enterprise subject matter expert for vendor governance and contract strategy. You will lead cross-functional initiatives with Legal, Finance and Business Units to align vendor strategies with enterprise objectives.

The role requires 6–8 years in vendor management, strong negotiation skills, and experience managing global vendors; familiarity with Ariba is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 6–8 years of vendor management, procurement, or shared services experience.
• Strong knowledge of vendor governance, contract management, and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and evolves Shared Services vendor management frameworks and policies.
• Leads development and negotiation of complex contractual frameworks (Work Orders, SOWs, Amendments, Change Orders).
• Establishes performance management methods with KPIs, SLAs, and service credits to drive improvements.
• Advises senior leadership on vendor investment, cost optimization, and risk management.
• Leads vendor-enabled transformation initiatives including AI and automation strategies.
