Job description

Location: Onsite in Midvale, UT, 84047

The Opportunity

We’re seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team as the Senior Manager, SEO & AEO . Serving as a key leader within the E-commerce team, this role is responsible for strategizing, implementing, and analyzing our global organic search, content, and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) strategies.

Acting as the ultimate subject matter expert on organic search performance, you will drive E-commerce growth across regional domains (Americas, EMEA, APAC, ANZ). The ideal candidate is an organized, growth-minded leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a deep understanding of traditional SEO combined with emerging AI and LLM (Large Language Model) technologies. You will leverage these tools to accelerate consumer acquisition, enhance retention, and support balanced, accelerated growth for the business globally.

What You’ll Own

Strategy & Leadership

  • Lead the overarching strategy and tactical execution of organic content marketing and SEO globally (including mophie.com, zagg.com and international domains).
  • Act as the global subject matter expert on organic search performance, AI technologies, and LLM optimization.
  • Manage and lead global agency partners, reviewing technical recommendations and driving partner feedback to improve overall performance.
  • Own structured data and schema markup strategy and define KPIs for AI-answer visibility (e.g., share of voice/citation frequency in Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and Perplexity) alongside traditional organic performance metrics.
  • Lead the intake of SEO content projects and recommendations, prioritizing initiatives by importance and business impact.
  • Work autonomously with minimal oversight, maintaining strict deadlines, prioritizing projects, and proactively communicating at-risk items.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with the Paid Search team to ensure strategic alignment between paid and organic results on the SERP.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Onsite, Merchandising, Global Marketing, Analytics, and Operations teams to consult on proposed site changes, URL structures, and page removals.
  • Work with technical SEO and development teams to prioritize and implement technical optimization requests via the JIRA ticketing system.

Execution & Analytics

  • Conduct comprehensive keyword and topical research to guide both agency partners and internal content teams.
  • Oversee international SEO best practices — hreflang implementation, localized keyword research, and multilingual content quality — across all regional domains.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute quality control checklists and operational procedures for content publishing.
  • Analyze results with a strong point of view, using data to inform future strategies and communicate the impact of organic search on both short- and long-term revenue goals.
  • Run multiple, concurrent projects while fielding special global requests as needed.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of standard processes and the latest developments in Digital Marketing, E-commerce, and Search/AI technology.

What We’re Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or a related field.
  • Experience: 6 years of digital marketing and performance marketing experience, with deep, hands‑on expertise managing onsite organic content strategy and SEO for a major e‑commerce brand. Experience driving global or regional (APAC/EMEA) growth is highly preferred.
  • Technical SEO & AI: Strong understanding of off‑page optimizations (e.g., link building), technical SEO, structured data/schema markup implementation, and emerging AI technologies/LLMs. Working knowledge of HTML/CSS.
  • Tool Expertise: Proficiency with relevant SEO and analytics platforms, including Google Search Console, Brightedge, Screaming Frog, Botify, and SEMrush, and emerging AI‑visibility/LLM‑monitoring platforms (e.g., Profound, Peec AI, Otterly.ai, or similar tools for tracking AI Overviews and LLM citations). Experience with Shopify Plus.
  • Analytics: Proven ability to “run the business by the numbers.” Deep understanding of at least one enterprise web analytics tool (e.g., Google Analytics (GA4), Adobe/Omniture) and a track record of quantifying organic search impact to align with business initiatives.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional project management skills, the ability to lead global stakeholders, a positive and solution‑oriented demeanor, and excellent communication skills.
