Job Summary:

The Senior Security Manager is a key leader within Corporate Security, accountable for the full scope of industrial security operations in alignment with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and all applicable U.S. government regulations. Serving as a strategic advisor to division leadership, this role ensures security practices effectively support broader business objectives across the enterprise.

The Senior Security Manager oversees personnel, physical, and information security programs—including classified contract compliance, facility clearance management, insider‑threat mitigation, and workforce security training—while directing self‑inspections, managing DCSA engagements, and ensuring consistent adherence to Special Security Agreement (SSA) requirements in coordination with the Government Security Committee (GSC).

Beyond operational execution, this leader builds and develops a high‑performing security team, drives process and program improvements, and advances enterprise‑level security initiatives. Success in the role requires strong leadership, sound risk‑management judgment, and the ability to navigate complex, high‑stakes environments tied to national security.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead the implementation and oversight of the National Industrial Security Program (NISP), ensuring full compliance with U.S. government regulations and company policies. Serve as the principal security advisor to division leadership and a strategic partner across business functions.
  • Develop and manage strategic security initiatives to ensure alignment with Department of Defense (DoD) regulations and the 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), including timely distribution and application of security guidance division-wide.
  • Direct and oversee complex security investigations involving fraud, theft, sabotage, espionage, insider threat indicators, or employee misconduct in coordination with Division Leadership, Legal, Human Resources, and government stakeholders.
  • Manage access control systems, including badge identification, visitor management, and credentialing processes. Drive continuous improvement through policy updates and integration of new technologies.
  • Provide oversight of facility security operations, including alarm response, access control, surveillance systems, key and lock control, emergency response planning, and physical security assessments.
  • Serve as the senior security advisor for classified contract execution, ensuring security requirements are identified, interpreted, and implemented in alignment with program needs and regulatory standards.
  • Support corporate-level security governance, including acting as a liaison to executive leadership and contributing to enterprise-wide strategic planning and security policy development.
  • Ensure compliance with Special Security Agreement (SSA) requirements, including regular coordination with the Government Security Committee (GSC), administration of the Visitation Policy (VP), and submission of required reports and assessments.
  • Oversee personnel security operations, ensuring all employees, contractors, and consultants who require access to classified information have active and in-scope security clearances in accordance with government and company standards.
  • Maintain Facility Clearance (FCL) records and manage associated reporting requirements, inspections, and communications with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA).
  • Lead classified material control processes, ensuring secure receipt, storage, handling, and transmission of classified information across all applicable programs and facilities.
  • Coordinate and update Standard Practice Procedures (SPPs) and related documentation to reflect current requirements and practices under the NISPOM and company security policies.
  • Design and oversee security education, training, and awareness programs, including initial and annual briefings, SSA and GSC responsibilities, and individual safeguarding requirements.
  • Develop and manage internal self‑inspection programs, ensuring proactive compliance and readiness for external audits and inspections by government agencies.
  • Build and lead a high‑performing security team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and evaluating staff. Guide performance, development, and personnel decisions.
  • Manage the insider threat program at the facility level and support company‑wide initiatives by collaborating with HR, Legal, and IT to detect, report, and respond to potential risks.
  • Participate as a key stakeholder in enterprise‑level initiatives, cross‑functional projects, and strategic planning efforts related to security, risk management, and business continuity.
