Job summary

Oracle Government Defense & Intelligence seeks a Senior Manager to lead application engineering teams delivering secure, scalable software for sovereign and government cloud environments. You will oversee multiple services, provide technical direction, and ensure reliable, maintainable systems aligned to mission needs.

You will drive delivery, coach engineers, and collaborate with product, security, operations, customers, and partners to meet priorities while enforcing secure development

Qualifications

• US Citizenship with active US Government security clearance (TS/SCI with Poly) at hire.
• 9 years of software development experience; or degree-based alternatives as listed (see Minimum Qualifications).
• 6 years of experience with programming and/or scripting languages.
• 4 years of experience with databases.
• Experience leading engineering teams through design, delivery, operations, and support of secure production software.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional execution, resolve complex technical issues, and improve engineering processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple teams or a small group owning a significant application surface area with measurable reliability, security, and performance outcomes.
• Manage execution of software development lifecycle processes, including design, implementation, testing, code review, observability, and production readiness.
• Lead teams through debugging and troubleshooting across multiple components, services, APIs, and functional areas.
• Guide teams in application architecture, service design, API lifecycle management, interoperability, scalability, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with product, program, security, operations, customers, and partner teams to align application solutions with business and mission priorities.
• Establish and enforce secure development practices, coding standards, operational objectives, and engineering best practices.
