Job summary

The role requires 7+ years in sales and use tax, 2+ years of management, and strong communication. Industry experience in retail or multi-location businesses is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 7+ years of progressive sales and use tax experience.
• Experience leading multi-state audits from start to resolution.
• Retail/convenience store experience preferred; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the team handling state/local sales and use tax audits.
• Oversee inquiries, assessments, appeals and controversy matters with authorities.
• Present findings and actions to stakeholders and leadership.
• Develop KPIs for audit activity, tax savings, and timelines.
• Monitor regulatory changes and assess impacts on audits and compliance.
• Support enterprise initiatives and drive audit readiness improvements.
