Job summary

Renewal by Andersen is seeking a Senior Manager, Risk & Compliance to lead enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, safety governance, and insurance across a multi-state organization. You will partner with Operations, HR, Finance, Legal, Safety, and field leaders to identify risk and implement scalable programs that protect people and the business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Occupational Safety, Human Resources, Legal Studies, or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in risk management, compliance, safety, insurance, or related functions.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading compliance initiatives across a multi-state organization.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA compliance and workplace safety programs.
  • Experience with DOT compliance, fleet regulations, and transportation-related risk.
  • Experience overseeing corporate insurance programs and claims management.
  • Experience supporting operations in California and other highly regulated states.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to translate complex regulations and risk issues into practical business solutions.
  • Strong executive communication, presentation, and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the company’s enterprise risk management strategy and framework.
  • Serve as the organization’s subject matter expert on risk, compliance, safety, and regulatory matters.
  • Identify, assess, prioritize, and mitigate operational, financial, legal, regulatory, and reputational risks.
  • Evaluate and strengthen policies, procedures, controls, and risk-management practices.
  • Develop risk dashboards, KPIs, and executive-level reporting to provide leadership with visibility into emerging risks and trends.
  • Own enterprise crisis management response process.
  • Oversee compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations across multiple operating locations.
  • Provide leadership and expertise related to OSHA, DOT, fleet, contractor, and other operational compliance requirements.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and translate them into practical policies, procedures, and corrective action plans.
  • Lead internal compliance audits and coordinate responses to regulatory inquiries, inspections, and agency requests.
  • Ensure required regulatory documentation and records are properly maintained.
  • Support operations in highly regulated states, including California.
  • Oversee corporate insurance programs, including General Liability, Workers' Compensation, Commercial Auto, Property, Umbrella, and other applicable coverage.
  • Partner with insurance brokers and carriers during renewals and coverage evaluations.
  • Oversee workers' compensation and liability claims management.
  • Analyze claims, incidents, and loss trends to identify opportunities for risk reduction and prevention.
  • Partner with business leaders to implement strategies that reduce exposure and improve outcomes.
  • Develop enterprise-wide policies, programs, and training related to risk management, compliance, and safety.
  • Build scalable and repeatable processes that can support continued organizational growth.
  • Establish clear expectations, controls, and accountability across departments.
  • Promote a culture of ethical conduct, safety, compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Serve as a trusted risk and compliance advisor to executive and senior leadership.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Human Resources, Finance, Legal, Safety, and field leadership.
  • Help leaders understand risk and make informed business decisions.

Position Overview

We're looking for an experienced Senior Manager, Risk & Compliance to lead the strategy, programs, and systems that protect our people, operations, and organization as we continue to grow. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, safety governance, insurance and claims management, and risk mitigation across a multi-state organization.

You'll serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and partner closely with Operations, Human Resources, Finance, Legal, Safety, and field leaders to identify risk, strengthen compliance, and build scalable programs that support the business. What You’ll Do

Lead Enterprise Risk Management
  • Develop and lead the company’s enterprise risk management strategy and framework.
  • Serve as the organization’s subject matter expert on risk, compliance, safety, and regulatory matters.

  • Professional certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), ARM (Associate in Risk Management), CESCO (Certified Environmental and Safety Compliance Officer), or comparable risk, safety, or compliance credentials are also preferred.
