Job summary

University of California - Los Angeles Health is seeking a Senior Manager for the Revenue Cycle Program Management Office to oversee a portfolio of improvement projects spanning patient access, coding, revenue integrity, billing, and collections.

You will lead cross-functional teams, coordinate automation initiatives with IT, monitor KPIs, and guide organizational change to sustain process improvements across UCLA Health's end-to-end revenue cycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field.
• Five or more years of experience in hospital-based revenue cycle operations, performance improvement, or healthcare consulting.
• Three or more years of experience leading projects to implement automation or technological enhancements within hospital or health system revenue cycle programs.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle operations, concepts, policies, and their impact throughout the organization.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to organize work, manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and delegate assignments efficiently.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot, analyze, and interpret complex data and systems.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey complex revenue cycle information.
• Strong knowledge of metrics, analytics, and data synthesis in healthcare revenue management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead transformation initiatives and support measurable financial improvements.
• Demonstrated familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic.
• Demonstrated knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of revenue cycle projects, including feasibility and impact analysis, project planning, milestone tracking, risk management, prioritization, and delivery within established PMO frameworks.
• Partner with operational leaders and stakeholders to implement performance improvement initiatives across patient access, coding, revenue integrity, billing, and collections, including workflow redesign and process standardization.
• Support implementation of automation and technology solutions by coordinating with Information Technology and operational teams on system enhancements, testing, deployment, issue resolution, adoption, and performance monitoring.
• Monitor project and improvement outcomes against defined key performance indicators, identify barriers or risks, and provide status updates and recommendations to leadership.
• Coordinate training, communications, stakeholder engagement, and other change management activities to support adoption of new processes, systems, and workflows.
• Maintain standardized project management tools, documentation, and standard operating procedures to support consistency, accountability, and sustained improvements across revenue cycle teams.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and develop PMO staff and analysts through work assignment, performance management, coaching, and professional development while promoting accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Provide leadership and execution support for revenue cycle improvement initiatives across UCLA Health's end-to-end revenue cycle, which supports billions in annual revenue and operations. As the Senior Manager of the Revenue Cycle Program Management Office, you will oversee a portfolio of projects focused on performance improvement, automation, technology deployment, workflow redesign, and operational standardization. This role partners with revenue cycle leaders, Information Technology, and other stakeholders to strengthen project execution, improve financial and operational performance, support sustainable process improvements, and advance initiatives across patient access, coding, revenue integrity, billing, and collections.

In this role, you will:

Salary Range

$98,200 to $214,600 annually

• Demonstrated knowledge of procurement processes, including requests for information and requests for proposal.
• Familiarity with regulations and compliance requirements relevant to revenue cycle workflows, including the No Surprises Act, AB 1020, and Knox-Keene.
