Job summary

Rate is seeking a Senior Manager, Corporate Promo Store & Strategic Sourcing in Chicago to own the internal promo store as a profitable business unit. The role requires hands-on leadership in strategic sourcing, direct manufacturing relations, and cost management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, merchandising, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience working with manufacturers, factories and suppliers.
• Strong understanding of product costing, gross margins, purchasing and inventory management.
• Proven vendor negotiation and cost-reduction experience.
• Strong analytical and financial acumen; able to translate data into business decisions.
• Experience managing merchandise or inventory performance.
• Strong organizational, communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with accountability and ownership.

Responsibilities

• Own the Corporate Promo Store end-to-end, with profitability and inventory accountability.
• Identify and develop relationships with direct manufacturers and suppliers.
• Negotiate product costs, MOQs, payment terms and timelines.
• Benchmark pricing to reduce costs and improve margins.
• Manage product costing and landed costs by SKU and category.
• Coordinate purchasing with sales, inventory and demand data.
• Provide leadership with reporting on sales, margins, inventory and cost-savings.
