Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources is seeking a high-impact Manager of Project Estimating to lead the estimating function across energy and infrastructure projects. This role owns capital cost estimates from concept to detailed design, aligning with business objectives and market conditions.

You will partner with engineering, project development, and leadership teams to shape strategy, evaluate design options, and drive value through data-driven decisions and value engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 8+ years of experience in project estimating or similar, with 2+ years in supervisory roles.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with early stage PMs to set priorities and work plans with limited estimating resources.
• Manage Estimating resources within Engineering and Construction to support the company.
• Perform project due diligence, assessing costs for design options and optimization.
• Prepare capital cost estimates.
• Obtain commitments from early-stage PMs to support estimating schedules.
• Determine procedures for the estimating group and drive their implementation.
• Keep current with technology and industry evolution to ensure estimates reflect market conditions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
