Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking a SR Manager to oversee A Shift operations at a Tyson facility in the United States.
The role is responsible for maintaining a safe environment, controlling expenses, ensuring OSHA/USDA/HACCP compliance, and coordinating with department heads to meet safety, production, and quality goals. The candidate will lead production supervisors, manage shift responsibilities, and play a key role in manpower planning and training.
Primarily A shift, but b/c this is a SR MGR position they may need to work where the opportunities are. # of days of work depending on projects, weekly performance, 6 days as needed.
This position is responsible to provide a safe working environment for all, to assist in controlling expenses; provide for the compliance and coordination of the federal meat inspection and OSHA requirements; interpret and enforce company policies; maintain non- union program; assist in the determination of manpower needs and makes recommendations; prepare and maintain prescribed records and reports to ensure that they reflect conditions accurately; solve problems in an effective manner with sound follow up; work with department heads to meet production quality yields goals and metrics goals while at the same time ensuring the maintenance of labor standards and quality of performance and product; inspect and maintain a high degree of competence in the areas of housekeeping safety sanitation security and food safety; manage evaluate and train production supervisors; and oversee all designated shift operations and any other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the plant manager.
