Job summary

Ryze is seeking a Sr Manager of Technical Quality to bridge Operations and Quality. You will engineer conditions for fail-safe production by partnering with R&D, co-manufacturers, and internal ops to establish rigorous process controls before production starts.

You will lead the transition to a proactive quality culture, build an internal lab and sensory program, and drive technical due diligence for new manufacturing partnerships. The role requires hands-on leadership and travel up to 30%.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or technical quality in relevant processing.
• Proven track record managing co-manufacturing relationships technically.
• Hands-on experience building quality or process systems from scratch in high-growth environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and implement a Preventative Quality System with upstream guardrails and validation protocols.
• Own technical due diligence and onboarding for co-man partners; lead CAPAs and changes.
• Analyze and optimize co-man processes for blending, conveying, filling, and packaging with SPC and capability studies.
• Develop internal lab and sensory program buildout, with testing protocols and SOPs.
• Assess manufacturability of new formulas and packaging; translate bench formulas to scalable processes.
• Partner cross-functionally on supply chain traceability, recalls readiness, and cost optimization.
