Job summary

Genentech seeks a senior communications leader to drive policy communications and elevate thought leadership. You will guide strategy for the company's manufacturing footprint and oversee high-impact messaging across owned and earned channels.

You will design core messaging frameworks, manage external agencies and budgets, and lead editorial content, infographics, and digital platforms to advance healthcare policy priorities in the U.S.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
8+ years of professional communications experience.
At least 6 years dedicated to policy communications, public affairs, or political campaigns.
Strong understanding of U.S. healthcare policy and/or political landscape.
Experience leveraging digital platforms to advance policy priorities and thought leadership.
Proven track record designing and executing high-impact communication strategies.
Hands-on experience leading communications for major corporate or political milestones.
Exceptional writing and editing skills under tight deadlines.
Experience managing external communications agencies, vendor contracts, and complex project budgets.

Requirements

Demonstrated understanding of the U.S. healthcare policy and/or political landscape.
Experience leveraging digital platforms to advance policy priorities and elevate thought leadership.
A proven track record of designing and executing high-impact communication strategies.
Hands-on experience leading communications for major corporate or political milestones.
Exceptional writing and editing skills under tight deadlines.
Experience managing external communications agencies, vendor contracts, and complex project budgets simultaneously.
Advanced degree in a relevant field is preferred.
