Job summary

The Walt Disney Company is seeking a Sr. Manager, Foundations Engineering to lead platform engineering, DevOps, and reliability across Ad Platforms. You will own scalable infrastructure, drive SRE practices, and partner with AI and Data teams to deliver production-ready services.

You will build and mentor high-performing engineering teams, define execution cadence, and ensure security, cost, and compliance across multi-cloud environments. Hybrid role in Glendale, CA / San Francisco, CA.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering with platform, cloud, DevOps or SRE focus.
• Proven people management leading engineering teams.
• Strong AWS experience; Azure and GCP valued.
• Reliability engineering: SLO/SLI, incident management.
• Database engineering and data infrastructure experience.
• Familiarity with AI infrastructure and ML platform ops.
• FinOps and cost management discipline.
• Excellent cross-team collaboration and communication.
• Experience in online advertising tech is a plus.
• Experience building internal developer platforms and self-service tooling is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery execution and roadmap across Foundations Engineering domains.
• Lead platform engineering, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure for Ad Platforms.
• Develop reliable, scalable systems and improve platform quality.
• Mentor engineers and drive operational excellence.
• Collaborate with AI, Product, Security, Data, and Finance teams.
