Diligent is seeking a Senior Manager, Platform Engineering to lead the global team responsible for Atlassian and Microsoft platforms, shaping architectural direction for the internal IT estate. You will blend leadership, platform strategy and hands‑on technical judgement to create secure, reliable, and scalable experiences for employees worldwide.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in internal IT, platform engineering, enterprise applications or a similar environment, including experience leading technical teams in a distributed organisation.
• Deep hands‑on experience owning Atlassian Cloud at enterprise scale, particularly Jira, Jira Service Management and Confluence.
• Strong experience administering and governing Microsoft 365 E5, including Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online, Intune, Defender and Purview.
• The ability to set architecture direction across identity and cloud technologies, with practical knowledge of Okta or an equivalent SSO platform, Active Directory, Entra ID and AWS.
• Proven success applying ITIL‑aligned service management, automation and self‑service to improve employee support outcomes.
• Strong understanding of identity and access governance, least privilege, data loss prevention, IT general controls and audit requirements.
• A track record of developing engineers, influencing cross‑functional partners and communicating technical decisions clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and grow a global team of platform engineers and systems administrators, building a high‑performing and inclusive culture.
• Own the strategy, architecture, governance and roadmap for Atlassian Cloud, including Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Atlassian Guard and Rovo.
• Set the direction for Diligent's Microsoft 365 E5 estate, including Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online, Intune, Defender, Purview, Power Platform and Copilot.
• Design scalable integration and automation patterns across identity, HRIS, ITSM and business systems using APIs, event‑driven automation, Okta Workflows, Power Platform and scripting.
• Partner with IT Support to improve self‑service, automate repetitive work and reduce ticket volume, escalation effort and time to resolution.
• Establish strong standards for security, access governance, AI adoption, reliability, compliance and business continuity across the internal technology estate.

You'll combine people leadership, enterprise platform strategy and hands‑on technical judgement to create secure, reliable and scalable experiences for employees worldwide. From modernising service management and automating joiner, mover and leaver processes to enabling AI safely through Microsoft Copilot and Atlassian Rovo, your work will reduce friction, strengthen governance and deliver measurable business impact.

Working across IT, Security, HR, Finance, Legal, Compliance and business teams, you'll turn complex requirements into well‑governed platforms that are easy to use, resilient and ready for the future.

These are the essentials you'll need to get an interview

• Experience with platform automation or infrastructure‑as‑code using tools such as PowerShell, Python, Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Experience with enterprise platform migrations, HRIS‑driven provisioning, managed service providers or regulated environments such as ISO 27001, SOC 2 or FedRAMP.

Pay Range

$131,000 - $164,000 USD
