Job summary

Komatsu Mining Corp. is seeking a Senior Manager, Payroll to lead a multi-state payroll team, ensuring accurate processing, tax compliance, and strong internal controls.

You will drive system implementations and collaborate across HR, Finance, Legal, and external partners to scale payroll operations. The role requires deep knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws, CPP preferred, and a track record of implementing scalable payroll solutions in complex organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive payroll experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Experience managing payroll operations for a large multi-state organization.
• Expert knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws, tax compliance, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the payroll team for multi-state payroll processing.
• Develop and execute payroll strategies to improve efficiency and automation.
• Ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations and maintain internal controls and audit readiness.
• Partner with HR, Finance, Accounting, Legal, and leaders to align payroll with priorities.
• Manage relationships with third-party payroll providers and system vendors.
