Job summary

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln is seeking an Assistant Director of Parking Operations to lead parking facilities, enforcement, events, and transit services on campus. You will collaborate with campus leadership to translate strategic goals into actionable plans and monitor performance and safety across operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required and/or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience executing operations, project coordination, and/or logistics.
• 3+ years of leadership experience overseeing staff or operational teams.
• Experience implementing daily operational plans and managing resources.
• Knowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance practices.
• Proficiency interpreting operational and financial data to support decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Implement and coordinate departmental strategies related to parking operations, facilities maintenance, enforcement, event parking, and transit.
• Collaborate with leadership to translate strategic goals into operational plans for parking and transit services programs.
• Monitor performance metrics, capital improvements, and implement improvements to parking, enforcement, event, and transit operations.
• Coordinate day-to-day operations for parking facilities and transit services, including maintenance planning and system performance monitoring.
• Monitor staffing levels, workflow efficiency, and service delivery; adjust resources to support campus needs.
• Support development and oversight of budgets and resource allocation for parking operations and transit services.
• Coordinate construction impacts and maintain parking access and operations; communicate changes to stakeholders and customers.
• Evaluate needs and recommend changes to procedures, facilities, technologies, and contracted services; support improvements to reliability and service quality.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, communication studies, facilities management, or related field
