Job description

CGS is currently seeking a seasoned Senior Capture and Business Development Associate to assist with identification, capture, evaluation, and development of government contracts for Contact Government Services. You will work closely with members of the executive team to identify and assess new opportunities and contracts, build long-lasting relationships and partnerships, capture new business, and develop Jr. Capture and Business Development Associates on the team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in areas including but not limited to capture analysis, business development, market entry strategy, and corporate planning.

Job Functions may include:
  1. Be a main driver of the capture team focused on federal, state, and local government contracts by identifying new opportunities, managing proposals, providing key insight on potential win themes, and capturing new business.
  2. Maintain responsibility for overseeing ongoing enterprise, market strategy, and team development.
  3. Drive the development of long-term growth plans and profitability objectives by establishing a pipeline of available opportunities.
  4. Leverage sales and staffing teams to drive sales and generate revenue.
  5. Establish value-add teaming strategies and competitive pricing structures.
  6. Lead multi-year planning activities, evaluate business portfolio trends, and support market entry or expansion strategies.
  7. Develop and implement capture strategies and manage the business acquisition process.
  8. Generate intellectual capital focused on portfolio growth.
  9. Mentor and develop current and future staff.
  10. Build relationships with potential clients and partners, engaging with senior-level clients and government contacts at networking events.
Required skills, knowledge, and abilities include:
  1. Proven success in identifying and winning new contracts within a small business environment.
  2. 6+ years of experience in:
  3. Development of long-term growth plans.
  4. Government proposal capture processes.
  5. Identifying strategic opportunities to increase revenue.
  6. Leading enterprise and market strategy activities.
  7. Experience with corporate strategy or planning, business development, and leveraging networks within the technology industry.
  8. Access to key government customers and industry partners.
  9. Knowledge of the government acquisition process and lifecycle.
Preferred but not required skills:
  • Strong documentation skills, including technical document production and proposal assistance.
  • Masters degree or higher education.
  • Client-facing consulting experience.
