Unknown company in Grand Rapids is seeking a Senior Manager of Accounting to lead accounting, reporting, and controllership for a growing multi-location organization. The role partners with executive leadership to scale processes, manage close cycles, and strengthen internal controls.

You will oversee consolidated financial statements, payroll, revenue recognition, and cash management, while supporting acquisition accounting and post‑integration activities.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA required.
• 7-9 years accounting leadership experience.
• Experience with multi-location, private equity-backed environments preferred.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and month-end close experience.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and support accounting, financial reporting, and controllership activities across a growing multi-location organization.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with timely financial reporting.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Oversee general ledger activities, reconciliations, accruals, revenue recognition, payroll accounting, and cash management.
• Develop and strengthen internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Partner with operational leaders to improve financial visibility and reporting across units.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cash flow management.
• Assist with acquisition accounting and post‑acquisition integration.
• Drive process improvements and scalable systems for growth.
• Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, lenders, and stakeholders.
• Support ERP optimization and NetSuite initiatives.

Salary: $130,000-$150,000 plus bonus

Senior Manager of Accounting Responsibilities:

• Lead and support accounting, financial reporting, and controllership activities across a growing multi-location organization
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Oversee general ledger activities, account reconciliations, accruals, revenue recognition, payroll accounting, and cash management
• Develop and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures
• Partner with operational leaders to improve financial visibility and reporting across business units
• Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cash flow management
• Assist with acquisition accounting, purchase accounting, and post‑acquisition financial integration efforts
• Drive process improvements and help build scalable systems and procedures to support future growth
• Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, lenders, and other key stakeholders
• Support ERP optimization and financial systems initiatives, including NetSuite or similar platforms

Senior Manager of Accounting Education and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 7-9 years of experience
• CPA
• Progressive accounting leadership experience with strong technical accounting knowledge
• Experience within multi-location, service, distribution, manufacturing, or private equity-backed environments preferred
• Exposure to mergers and acquisitions, acquisition integrations, or high‑growth organizations is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and month‑end close processes
• Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast‑paced environment
• Excellent communication, leadership, and business partnering skills
