Job summary

San Diego Community College District seeks a seasoned manager to lead Network and PC Services within its Information Technology Department. The role directs enterprise infrastructure, including networking, AD, M365, security, and telephony across district sites.

The ideal candidate has a MIS/CS degree with 10+ years in IT, including at least 5 years in a leadership role. The position is Exempt with standard hours and a two-year initial contract that may be renewed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, computer science or a closely related field.
• Ten years of progressively responsible information systems experience, with at least five in a management or lead role and five years of hands-on IT experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the District’s infrastructure including network routing and switching, WAN, wireless, information security systems, servers, vCenter, ESXi, Microsoft Entra, M365, Active Directory, and other enterprise infrastructure and telephony services.
• Manage Enterprise Network Specialist and Senior Infrastructure Administrator.
• Ensure network security, reliability, and performance, and align with district standards.
