Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Manager of Environmental Sciences - Natural Resources to lead a multidisciplinary team across generation, transmission, distribution, and renewables. You will oversee natural resource programs, compliance, permitting, and policy implementation to support reliable energy delivery.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree requirement with 7+ years of experience.
In lieu of degree and 7 years’ experience, 15+ years of related work.
Experience leading multidisciplinary environmental programs and teams.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Natural Resources organization, including strategic planning and budgeting.
Direct enterprise natural resource programs (Protected Species, Habitat, Avian Protection, Lands Permitting).
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements and regulatory support.
Coordinate with internal customers and external agencies; represent Duke Energy with regulators and stakeholders.
Drive continuous improvement, knowledge management, and training within Environmental Sciences.
