Position Summary

Sam’s Club is seeking a Senior Manager, Marketing Operations, Agency and Vendor Management to lead and evolve our agency partnerships and optimize internal and external marketing resources. This role is ideal for a strategic leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, excels at managing complex relationships, and brings strong financial and operational acumen. You’ll play a critical role in driving marketing excellence through scalable systems, cross-functional collaboration, and performance accountability.

What you'll do
  • Agency & Vendor Management: Lead the administration and performance of Sam’s Club’s agency partnerships, ensuring alignment with evolving brand needs and business goals. Conduct reviews, oversee onboarding, and lead contract negotiations in collaboration with Finance, Legal, and Procurement. Develop feedback frameworks and dashboards to evaluate performance and ensure value delivery.
  • Resource & Budget Management: Strategically plan and allocate marketing resources to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Forecast needs, analyze internal vs. external costs, and manage budgets, billing, and vendor payments.
  • Financial and Procurement Expertise: Demonstrate strong financial skills, lead procurement processes including RFPs and contract negotiations, and collaborate with Finance to ensure cost-effective solutions and maximize contract value.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Mentor a marketing operations team, foster a culture of innovation and accountability, and work cross-functionally to drive strategic initiatives. Communicate effectively with senior leadership.
What You’ll Need
  • 5+ years of marketing experience, with at least 3 years in Marketing Operations or related fields.
  • Strong financial acumen and procurement experience.
  • Experience managing teams and leading cross-functional projects.
  • Expertise in RFP processes, contract negotiation, and vendor management.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset focused on process improvement and strategic problem-solving.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, plus 2 years' experience in marketing operations or 4 years' experience in related fields. Additionally, 2 years' experience in strategic sourcing and procurement.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience leading cross-functional projects, managing marketing or advertising agencies.
