The Senior Manager, Marketing Analytics & Insights will play a pivotal role in analyzing marketing data, developing actionable insights, and collaborating on strategic recommendations to optimize marketing strategies and campaigns. A key focus of this role will be building comprehensive reports and dynamic dashboards that empower marketing leadership to uncover new opportunities, measure performance, and drive business growth.

This role demands a strong analytical background, expertise in marketing analytics and customer insights tools, and the ability to communicate complex data in a clear, compelling format. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in marketing analysis, a deep understanding of data-driven decision-making, and a passion for helping the business unlock its full potential through insightful analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis and Insights: Analyze marketing data to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that inform marketing strategies and campaign optimizations. Lead and establish channel-level tracking, monitoring, and reporting of marketing metrics (conversion rates, CPA, retention, LTV, etc.) to help guide ongoing marketing tactics for the team. Prepare ROI analysis and executive reports and provide key inputs into weekly and monthly reporting updates to business leadership.
  • Reporting and Visualization: Develop and maintain dynamic marketing dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs). Use tools like Tableau, Google Sheets, Looker, Excel, and Google Analytics to create detailed, visually compelling reports that communicate marketing performance and key findings to stakeholders. Provide actionable insights to enhance marketing effectiveness.
  • Collaboration and Strategy: Partner with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product marketing, and finance, to ensure alignment of marketing strategies with overall business objectives. Work closely with finance engineering teams to develop predictive models and ensure marketing integration with data architectures. Support the development of customer segmentation and targeting strategies to drive better engagement and conversion.
  • Market Research and Competitive Analysis: Collaborate with teams to identify key customer trends, launch customer surveys, and analyze market conditions that influence marketing strategy and positioning. Provide insights into market opportunities, competitive threats, and emerging industry trends to inform decision-making.
  • Marketing Tools and Ad Tech: Support the adoption and effective use of marketing measurement and automation tools (e.g., MTA, CRM, MMM) in partnership with external partners. Ensure the integration of data sources and platforms for accurate performance tracking and analysis. Find opportunities for automation in reporting and analysis processes and develop innovative solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Campaign and Channel Performance: Focus on evaluating the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and digital channels (e.g., paid social, email, SEO, direct mail) using key metrics such as conversion rate (CVR), customer acquisition cost (CAC), retention rates, and lifetime value (LTV). Develop insights on relevant digital conversion behaviors, customer journey, and conversion trigger points.
  • Optimization and A/B Testing: Partner with performance marketing teams to analyze A/B tests, creative variations, conversion rate optimization (CRO) efforts, and conversion funnel improvements to maximize marketing performance.
  • Cross-Channel Insights: Provide insights on how different marketing channels (e.g., PPC, social media, content) interact and contribute to overall marketing performance, enabling integrated and cohesive strategies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Basic Requirements: 5-7 years of experience in marketing analytics, business intelligence, or a related field. BA degree in Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, Business, or related field. Experience at DTC or digital-native brands is a plus.
  • Strong Analytical and Data Expertise: Ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from relational databases, ensuring accurate insights for campaign performance, customer behavior analysis, and reporting.
  • Data Management Skills: Ability to create, manage, analyze large marketing datasets and extract actionable insights using tools like Tableau, Looker, Adobe Analytics, Excel, and Google Analytics.
  • Proficiency in Marketing Analytics Tools: Expertise in marketing automation and CRM platforms such as MTA, Braze, incrementality testing, MMM, CRO, and A/B testing. Experience with customer survey and insights tooling is a plus.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate with teams across marketing, product, and finance to align strategies and deliver results.
  • Experience in Campaign Optimization: Strong background in evaluating and optimizing marketing campaigns across channels using key metrics like CVR, retention rate, active buyers, CAC, churn rate, and LTV.
