Job summary

Baker Tilly’s Industrial Advisory team seeks a Senior Manager to lead manufacturing cost accounting and cost-analysis engagements for manufacturing and distribution clients.

You will design, implement, and optimize cost-accounting processes, work with ERP systems, and guide clients on data-driven cost decisions while collaborating across Baker Tilly’s network. Strong leadership and client-facing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree required.
• 8 years of professional experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or above in accounting or finance preferred.
• CPA and/or CMA certifications beneficial.
• Experience with SAP or Oracle Finance and Inventory Management platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engagements involving inventory costing, product costing, and manufacturing cost analysis.
• Assess cost-accounting methodologies, systems, processes, controls, and data to improve accuracy and decision-making.
• Provide SME in standard and actual costing, inventory valuation, BOMs, routings, and overhead allocations.
• Develop methodologies for costing in complex situations with limited data.
• Coordinate with ERP/technology teams to improve cost-accounting configurations.
• Manage client engagements with leadership and clear deliverables.
• Travel to client sites as needed to support engagements.
