Moss is seeking a Senior Manager, Internal Communications to lead internal comms for shared services. You’ll partner with HR and Safety, shape messaging, and drive change communications across the organization.

This people-management role requires strategic instincts and executional discipline, delivering enterprise-wide communications and guiding leaders in messaging that reflects Moss culture and priorities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in internal and external communications.
  • Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience supporting external media relations and/or community outreach.
  • Proficiency with intranet, email marketing, and presentation tools.
  • Ability to translate complex initiatives into clear messaging.
  • Strategic thinking with executional discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a comprehensive internal communications strategy across shared services.
  • Serve as primary communications partner for HR and Enterprise Safety.
  • Provide oversight across the broader shared services communications portfolio.
  • Lead change management communications for major organizational initiatives.
  • Create content for internal announcements, town halls, and all-employee communications.
  • Ghostwrite executive communications for senior leaders.
  • Prepare compelling presentations for leadership and department heads.
  • Establish metrics to measure effectiveness of internal communications.
  • Drive adoption of AI and emerging tools to improve workflow.
  • Assist in hiring, training, and development of communications staff.

POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT

The Senior Manager, Internal Communications is a key member of Moss' Marketing & Communications department, responsible for managing the company's internal communications function across shared services — ensuring employees are informed, engaged, and aligned with Moss' vision, values, and strategic priorities.

This is a people manager role that requires both strategic instincts and executional discipline. The Senior Manager serves as the primary communications partner for HR and Safety, provides oversight across a broader shared services communications portfolio, and brings a strong command of change management communications to support Moss' continued growth.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive internal communications strategy across shared services, ensuring consistent, clear, and engaging messaging enterprise-wide
  • Serve as the primary communications partner for HR and Enterprise Safety, building strong relationships with department leadership and translating complex initiatives into compelling communications
  • Provide strategic oversight and quality control across the broader shared services communications portfolio
  • Lead change management communications for major organizational initiatives — including HR programs, benefits updates, onboarding, performance management, and operational changes — ensuring employees are informed and prepared throughout the process
  • Develop communication frameworks and toolkits that support leaders in communicating change effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Partner with HR and senior leadership to ensure change communications are timely, empathetic, and aligned with Moss' culture and values
  • Create content for internal announcements, sharepoint updates, all-employee communications, and other internal channels — maintaining a consistent brand voice across all platforms
  • Ghostwrite executive communications for senior leaders, ensuring messaging is clear, on-brand, and aligned with organizational priorities
  • Prepare compelling presentations for leadership and department heads, including content development, slide design direction, and speaker notes
  • Manage, develop, and coach team members, providing day-to-day direction and professional development support
  • Manage internal events and employee engagement initiatives, including town halls, leadership briefings, and company celebrations
  • Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of internal communications efforts, using data-driven insights to continuously refine strategy
  • Drive adoption of AI and emerging communications tools to improve workflow efficiency and content quality
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Safety, and shared services departments to ensure cohesive and consistent messaging enterprise-wide
  • Embrace opportunities to experiment with industry-leading technologies like AI and machine learning to improve communication workflows.
  • Assist in the hiring, training, and development of communications staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in internal and external communications, with a focus on internal engagement and PR/media relations.
  • Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience managing internal communications and supporting external media relations and/or community outreach.
  • Proficiency in meeting planning and PowerPoint presentation development.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Proficiency with communication tools and platforms, including intranet systems, social media, and email marketing software.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically, balancing long-term vision with current priorities.
