Moss is seeking a Manager, Energy Communications in Fort Lauderdale to lead internal and field communications for Moss' Energy business unit. You will translate business priorities into clear, timely messages for a geographically distributed workforce, partnering with Energy leaders, Project Executives, Superintendents, Safety and HR.

This hands-on role blends strategy with writing and editing, developing leader communications, town halls, FAQs and toolkits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, business, or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive communications experience, including internal and field communications.
  • Experience supporting a distributed frontline or operational workforce.
  • Background in construction, energy, utilities, infrastructure, manufacturing or similar.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills; adapt content across audience/channel/complexity quickly.
  • Experience developing leader and employee communications, editorial calendars and engagement programs.
  • Experience using analytics or feedback to improve communications effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Lead internal and field communications across the Energy BU, aligning content to priorities and milestones.
  • Manage recurring Energy communications and the editorial calendar.
  • Develop leader communications including talking points, emails, presentations, FAQs, toolkits, and town halls.
  • Equip project leaders and superintendents with practical communications tools.
  • Build relationships across project teams to surface issues and celebrate achievements.
  • Coordinate with Safety, Operations and HR to align campaigns and reduce unnecessary volume.
  • Track reach and engagement; produce quarterly scorecards to improve channels and cadence.
  • Utilize AI tools to improve speed, quality and consistency of communications.

Reporting to the Director, Energy Communications, this role helps translate business priorities into clear, relevant communications for a large, geographically distributed workforce.This role manages communications products and programs that reach Moss' Energy workforce, including craft team members, jobsite teams, remote employees and corporate staff. The Manager will lead recurring internal communications, leader communications, field engagement, employee listening and measurement while partnering closely with Energy leaders, Project Executives, Superintendents, Safety, Human Resources and other business partners. This is a hands-on role for a strong strategist and doer who can build relationships, simplify complex information and deliver high-quality communications at pace.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES· Lead internal and field communications execution across the Energy BU, developing communications that connect field, remote and office-based teammates to business priorities, project milestones, organizational developments and key initiatives· Manage recurring Energy communications and internal communications products, ensuring content is clear, timely, relevant and aligned with established editorial standards· Support and maintain the Energy BU editorial calendar in partnership with the Director, Energy Communications — coordinating content, timing, channels and cross-functional inputs· Develop communications approaches specifically designed for project and field teammates, recognizing differences in work environment, information needs and access to traditional corporate channels· Develop leader communications including talking points, emails, presentations, FAQs, toolkits and materials for town halls, leadership meetings and employee engagement opportunities· Equip project leaders and superintendents with simple, practical communications tools they can use directly with their teams· Establish strong relationships across project teams to identify emerging issues, teammate questions, project milestones and compelling people stories· Partner with Safety, Operations, Human Resources and other functions to coordinate teammate communications, support key campaigns and reduce unnecessary communication volume and duplication· Support change and issues communications — developing FAQs, leader materials and other resources for organizational changes, business developments and sensitive or complex topics in close partnership with the Director, Energy Communications· Track communications reach, engagement, understanding and field participation; develop quarterly scorecards and use data and teammate feedback to improve channels, content and cadence· Identify opportunities to recognize employees and teams and celebrate project and business accomplishments· Use AI and emerging tools to improve the speed, quality and consistency of communications while maintaining strong editorial standardsWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR· A strong communications professional who is both a strategist and a doer — comfortable moving from planning and counsel to hands-on writing and execution· An exceptional writer and editor who can make complex information clear, concise and relevant for different audiences and channels· A credible partner to field-based operations who understands that effective communication for craft workers and jobsite teams looks different from traditional corporate communications· Comfortable advising leaders and building trusted relationships across various levels of an organization· A natural connector who listens well, builds relationships and creates meaningful two-way communication across a distributed workforce· Someone who brings strong organization and editorial discipline — able to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, inputs and channels without losing sight of the audience· High judgment and discretion when handling sensitive, high-visibility or fast-moving business information· A collaborative, people-first teammate who can work effectively across Safety, Operations, Human Resources and other functions· Embodies Moss' values: Work Hard, Be Nice, Have FunQUALIFICATIONS· Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, business administration or a related field· 7+ years of progressive communications experience, including meaningful experience in employee, internal, field or change communications· Experience supporting a distributed, frontline or operational workforce strongly preferred· Background in construction, energy, utilities, infrastructure, manufacturing or another operational environment preferred· Demonstrated ability to counsel leaders and build trusted relationships across various levels of an organization· Exceptional writing and editing skills; able to adapt content across audience, channel and level of complexity with speed and precision· Experience developing leader communications, employee communications, editorial calendars and engagement programs· Experience using communications analytics, employee feedback or other measures to improve communications effectiveness· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with communications platforms and editorial tools· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and respond to time-sensitive communications needs· Ability and willingness to travel periodically to Moss Energy project sites and officesPOSITION DETAILSJob Title: Manager, Energy CommunicationsLocation: Fort Lauderdale, FLClassification: Full-Time | Exempt | SalariedReports To: Director, Energy CommunicationsMoss is an equal opportunity employer.
