Job summary

Fanatics Collectibles seeks a Senior Manager, Instant Packs Lead to bridge Commercial and Product across the Instant Packs launch. You will shape the GTM strategy, coordinate across Product, Tech, Operations, Creative, and Marketing, and own the day-to-day execution calendar to ensure timely ship-outs.

You will partner with senior stakeholders, maintain a single source of truth, and run post-launch retros to build scalable playbooks for future releases.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in ecommerce, marketplace operations, product/program management, or commercial strategy, ideally with exposure to launching new products or features.
  • Backgrounds we’d consider a strong fit include management consulting, corporate strategy, or a similar role that builds structured problem-solving, executive communication, and comfort parachuting into ambiguity.
  • Proven ability to drive cross-functional execution without formal authority.
  • Structured problems into clear frameworks, decisions, and workplans, and the analysis (sell-through models, pricing scenarios, launch trackers) to support them.
  • Comfortable operating with both strategic and operational range: pricing, positioning, and commercial trade-offs, and blocker resolution on launch day.
  • Highly organized with strong project management instincts.
  • Analytical and data-informed with KPIs that matter for commercial success (sell-through, conversion, GMV, margin).
  • Polished, executive-ready communicator who synthesizes input into an actionable leadership narrative.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment where product and playbook are still being built.
  • Deep curiosity about the hobby and a passion for building innovative commerce experiences for collectors.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end execution calendar for Instant Packs launches, coordinating across Product, Tech, Topps, Operations, Creative, and Commercial to keep every workstream on schedule and unblocked.
  • Serve as the day-to-day conduit between functional owners - translating decisions into action, escalating risks early, and driving open questions to a resolution.
  • Partner with the Commercial SME to shape pack architecture, pricing, allocation, and launch sequencing, and ensure GTM plans ladder up to commercial goals (sell-through, GMV, conversion, contribution margin).
  • Ensure the sequenced roll-out of go-to-market plan for each release - seeding, creator and influencer coordination, owned-channel content, paid, and lifecycle/CRM moments - in partnership with Marketing and Growth.
  • Track and report on core performance metrics (sell-through, conversion, GMV, engagement) and turn results into a clear learning agenda for the next release.
  • Own the sell-through and demand model for each drop, stress-testing pack economics, customer limits, and inventory posture against realistic and strong-case scenarios.
  • Coordinate the collector-facing product experience - app readiness, PDP, storefront placements - with Product and Tech to ensure launch dependencies (e.g., app-store approval) are hit on time.
  • Maintain the single source of truth on positioning, messaging, and “what we aligned on” guardrails so cross-functional partners stay consistent as more teams get involved.
  • Help define the roadmap for scaling Instant Packs across additional products and sports, and support early strategic thinking on additional formats.
  • Run post-launch retros and turn learnings into a playbook that makes each subsequent release faster and lower-risk to execute.

Job description

About Us

Fanatics is building a leading global digital sports platform. We ignite the passions of global sports fans and maximize the presence and reach for our hundreds of sports partners globally by offering products and services across Fanatics Commerce, Fanatics Collectibles, and Fanatics Betting & Gaming, allowing sports fans to Buy, Collect, and Bet. Through the Fanatics platform, sports fans can buy licensed fan gear, jerseys, lifestyle and streetwear products, headwear, and hardgoods; collect physical and digital trading cards, sports memorabilia, and other digital assets; and bet as the company builds its Sportsbook and iGaming platform. Fanatics has an established database of over 100 million global sports fans; a global partner network with approximately 900 sports properties, including major national and international professional sports leagues, players associations, teams, colleges, college conferences and retail partners, 2,500 athletes and celebrities, and 200 exclusive athletes; and over 2,000 retail locations, including its Lids retail stores. Our more than 22,000 employees are committed to relentlessly enhancing the fan experience and delighting sports fans globally.

About the Company

Fanatics Collect is a global product and technology group dedicated to revolutionizing the world of collectibles. Every single day our team of experienced product leaders, engineers, and operators obsesses over how to create the ultimate collector experience with our products: Topps.com, the direct to consumer ecommerce platform of the Topps brand, Fanatics Collect, the most trusted and dynamic collector focused marketplace, and our collector focused live shopping platforms, Fanatics Live and Voggt.

We have the unique advantage of being backed by Fanatics - the world’s largest sports merchandiser, with more than 900 global sports relationships, 90+ million reachable fans, and exclusive licensing deals with the MLB, NFL, and NBA among many others - but we’re a nimble, ambitious team building products from the ground up.

If you're passionate about building world class products and share our love for sports fans and collectors, Fanatics Collect offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team creating the future of collecting.

About the Role

Instant Packs is Topps’ first digital pack product: a real, primary-issuance pack of cards that a collector opens through a fully digital rip experience, with the exact card landing straight in their Vault. It’s a net-new format for the hobby, launching behind a handful of carefully selected products, with a roadmap to scale across future Topps releases and product lines.

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Instant Packs Lead to sit on the Commercial team and serve as the connective tissue for this product across the Collectibles organization. This role is part strategist and part operator: you’ll help shape the commercial and go-to-market strategy for Instant Packs alongside senior stakeholders in Product, Tech, Operations, Creative, and Commercial, while also owning the day-to-day execution calendar that turns that strategy into a shipped launch. You will not own every function outlined below - each sits with a named functional leader - but you will be the person who keeps the plan on track, surfaces risks, drives decisions to closure, and ensures the pieces come together on time.

This is a high-visibility, build-from-scratch role on a product still in its roll-out phase. Success in this seat is a strong foundation to grow into broader ownership as Instant Packs scales across products and into new formats.

This role tends to suit people who’ve built their career structuring ambiguity into a plan - for example, backgrounds in management consulting or corporate strategy - as much as it suits traditional product or commercial operators, since a lot of the job is building the framework and the plan before you can execute against it.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years in ecommerce, marketplace operations, product/program management, or commercial strategy, ideally with exposure to launching new products or features.
  • Backgrounds we’d consider a strong fit include management consulting, corporate strategy, or a similar role that builds structured problem-solving, executive communication, and comfort parachuting into ambiguity - in addition to more traditional product/commercial operating backgrounds.
  • Proven ability to drive cross-functional execution without formal authority - running point across senior stakeholders in Product, Tech, Creative, and Commercial to keep complex, multi-team launches on track.
  • Skilled at structuring ambiguous problems into clear frameworks, decisions, and workplans, and at building the analysis (sell-through models, pricing scenarios, launch trackers) needed to support them.
  • Comfortable operating with both strategic and operational range: able to contribute to pricing, positioning, and commercial trade-offs, and just as able to chase down a blocker on launch day.
  • Highly organized, with strong project management instincts - you build the plan, not just follow one.
  • Analytical and data-informed, with fluency in the KPIs that matter for commercial success (sell-through, conversion, GMV, margin).
  • Polished, executive-ready communicator who can synthesize input from many stakeholders into a crisp, actionable narrative for leadership.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, ambiguous, growth-stage environment where the product and the playbook are both still being built.
  • Deep curiosity about the hobby and a passion for building innovative commerce experiences for collectors.
