The role focuses on monitoring legislative developments, developing positions, and coordinating cross‑functional responses with business leaders to mitigate risks and seize opportunities. You will build relationships with federal, state, and local officials, manage external stakeholders, and guide communications to support Lamb Weston’s policy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
• 6+ years of governmental affairs experience at a company, trade association, or government.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Government Affairs strategy.
• Build relationships with federal, state, and local officials to influence policy.
• Collaborate with business units to address emerging issues.
• Prepare materials to advocate the company position for internal/external audiences.
• Monitor legislative/regulatory activity and provide risk assessments.
• Identify policy trends and advise on advocacy priorities.
• Draft memos and briefs; support leadership in policy discussions.
• Coordinate with external lobbyists and trade associations as needed.
• Serve as a liaison to government and industry groups.
