Job summary

You will collaborate with senior tax leadership, support IRS examinations, analyze positions, and develop technical analyses while mentoring junior staff and driving process improvements with data analytics.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; CPA/JD/LL.M. or Master's in Taxation preferred.
Expertise in US international tax and tax controversy.
Experience managing IRS examinations and complex tax matters.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with tax team to manage US international tax matters arising from Eaton's global operations.
Develop and execute strategies for IRS examinations and information requests.
Analyze IRS positions and assess technical, financial, and operational implications.
Prepare technical analyses and supporting documentation on international tax matters.
Coordinate responses to tax authority inquiries and examination requests.
Support relationships with external advisors and engagement with tax authorities.
Analyze issues including foreign tax credits, Subpart F, GILTI, FDII, withholding taxes, and treaties.
Monitor developments in US international tax law and their impact on the company.
Model multi-year scenarios to support strategic decision-making and risk assessment.
Leverage data analytics tools to improve efficiency and visibility in tax processes.
Review work and mentor junior professionals.
