Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC seeks a Senior Manager of Manufacturing Quality to lead a team of quality engineers and elevate supplier quality across NA and Europe. The role collaborates with engineering for new product development, drives supplier diversification, and ensures flawless quality at supplier sites for timely delivery and installation across networks.

Qualifications

9+ years of quality assurance team management experience.
Experience as an industrial engineer, operations engineer, manufacturing engineer, or project engineer in a manufacturing environment.
Experience in high-volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, computer science, operations research, mathematics or equivalent quantitative field, or 3+ years of quality assurance engineering experience.
Master's degree or above in engineering or equivalent, or 5+ years of vendor management experience.
Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Manager (CQM), or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA).
Experience with quality frameworks such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and 8D problem-solving methodology.
Experience leading FAT/SAT processes and compressing design-to-production timelines.
Experience with supplier scorecards, KPI dashboards, and data-driven supplier performance management.

Responsibilities

Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on process capabilities, quality and reliability.
Conduct rigorous supplier qualification processes to assess quality, delivery, and performance standards.
Develop and implement comprehensive project plans to ensure timely execution.
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and mitigate them.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to keep projects on track.
Analyze supply chain processes for improvement and cost reduction.
Scale up technologies across regions with qualified suppliers.
Maintain relationships with suppliers to address issues promptly.
Develop strategies to reduce single-source dependencies and diversify the supply base.
Onboard alternative suppliers to increase competitiveness and mitigate risks.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of quality engineers.
Set team goals aligned with KPIs: Supplier Quality, FAT/SAT Pass Rate, On-Time Delivery.
Foster operational excellence, data-driven decision making, and customer obsession.
Identify and assess supply chain risks and develop contingency plans.
