Job summary

JAKKS Pacific, Inc. seeks a Senior Manager, Sample Operations & Project Management to lead the planning, prioritization, and cross-functional coordination of global product sample requests from our Santa Monica, CA headquarters.

The ideal candidate balances competing priorities, anticipates seasonal demand, and aligns internal teams to ensure the Sample Shop works on the right work at the right time. This role supervises the Sample Shop and partners with Marketing, Sales, PR, Design, Packaging,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in project management, operations, product development, or related fields.
• Experience managing high-volume projects with multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
• Experience managing managers, supervisors, or operational teams.
• Strong PM, prioritization, resource planning, and organizational skills.
• Ability to drive cross-functional dependencies to resolution.
• Strong communication with senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Ability to anticipate workload and adjust priorities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Own and prioritize the global pipeline of product sample requests from submission through completion.
• Lead the Sample Shop Manager and coordinate workload, capacity, staffing, and production planning.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Sales, PR, Design, Packaging, Operations, and executives.
• Establish priorities based on launches, deadlines, campaigns, and capacity.
• Develop seasonal sample demand understanding and plan resources for peak periods.
• Implement a Ready for Sample process to ensure complete requests.
• Ensure correct product and assets are sampled before production begins.
• Maintain visibility into status, deadlines, dependencies, and backlog.
• Resolve conflicts and elevate significant issues when needed.
