Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years in media relations, issues management, or corporate communications with leadership at a senior manager level.
• Experience handling complex, high‑risk issues in regulated industries (med devices/pharma/healthcare).
• Proven ability to counsel senior executives and influence decisions under pressure.
• Strong understanding of global media landscapes and crisis communications best practices.
• Exceptional writing/editing and verbal communication with accuracy and clarity.
• Experience collaborating with legal, regulatory and compliance partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead global media relations and issues management strategy, including storytelling and reactive responses.
• Advise senior leaders on reputational risk, emerging issues, and external narratives.
• Develop crisis and issues management plans, including messaging frameworks and spokesperson prep.
• Manage media inquiries on sensitive topics such as product quality, safety, regulatory actions, litigation, and business transformation.
• Partner with Legal, Regulatory, Quality, Medical Affairs, HR, and Commercial to ensure aligned communications.
• Monitor external media and stakeholder landscapes for risks and opportunities; provide insights.
• Develop executive briefing materials, Q&A, statements, and talking points for high‑visibility situations.
• Support enterprise initiatives, including business transformation and separation activities, with clear external messaging.
