Global Sports Jobs Limited is seeking a Finance and Accounting professional with hands-on ERP expertise to shape and drive the global Finance solutions roadmap. This senior individual contributor partners with Finance leadership and IT to translate strategy into deployed systems and process improvements, supporting month-end close and global initiatives.

Reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Controller, you will own end-to-end finance processes, lead cross-functional roadmaps, and champion

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Finance Systems or equivalent.
• 7+ years of progressive Finance and Accounting experience in a complex multinational environment.
• ERP proficiency earned through Finance practice rather than a systems or IT career path (Oracle or SAP).
• 3+ years leading a cross-functional Finance roadmap and partnering with IT to deliver solutions.

• Act as Finance-IT liaison; evaluate solutions, obtain Finance sign-off, and lead issue triage.

About the Role

This is a high-visibility, individual contributor role for a Finance and Accounting professional with hands-on ERP expertise gained through practice rather than a traditional systems career path. The role partners closely with Finance senior leadership to shape and drive the global Finance solutions roadmap, then works with IT to translate that alignment into delivered systems and process improvements. Reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Controller, the position serves as a structured liaison between Finance and IT and supports global Finance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as Finance’s subject matter expert on end-to-end business process design; identify gaps, map processes, and translate Finance requirements into clear IT specifications.
• Serve as the structured Finance-to-IT liaison; evaluate proposed solutions, facilitate Finance sign-off, and lead issue triage and resolution.
• Lead and facilitate Finance UAT, change management, and end-user adoption for prioritised Finance initiatives across global markets.
• Champion Finance process standardisation, AI and automation opportunities, Segregation of Duties and access governance, and continuous improvement.
• Serve as a Finance AI Champion, identifying and advancing agentic AI and RPA opportunities that reduce manual effort, improve data accuracy, and scale Finance capacity globally.
• Support month-end and quarter-end close system monitoring and issue resolution.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Finance Systems or equivalent.
• 7+ years of progressive Finance and Accounting experience in a complex multinational environment.
• Accounting/Finance professional first, with ERP proficiency earned through Finance practice rather than a systems or IT career path.
• 3+ years leading a cross-functional Finance roadmap, including building consensus among senior Finance leaders with competing departmental priorities, facilitating trade-off discussions, and securing alignment on a single set of top priorities.
• 3+ years partnering with IT to translate an aligned roadmap into delivered solutions, serving as the Finance-side owner through requirements, prioritisation, and execution with IT teams.
• 3+ years of hands‑on ERP system experience as a Finance process owner or power user with Oracle, SAP, or comparable ERP.
• Deep, hands‑on knowledge of end-to-end Finance processes in a complex global environment.
• Ability to assess process design against US GAAP.
• Excellent programme management, root cause analysis, and influencing skills.
• Ability to build credibility and drive outcomes across Finance, IT, eCommerce, Operations, and the business.
• Highest standards of ethics, integrity, and discretion.
• Culturally aware and adaptable across diverse global teams and regions.
• Proven ability to identify automation opportunities and partner with IT on delivery.

Preferred Skills

• CPA.
• Manufacturing cost accounting experience.
• Working knowledge of agentic AI and RPA tools in a Finance context.
• Oracle ERP experience.
• Direct participation in ERP implementations from the Finance side.
• Industry experience in consumer products, sporting goods, retail, or branded goods.
• Experience in a private company or PE-backed environment.

Workplace

• Normal office conditions with extensive computer usage.
• Ability to work extended hours as necessary to support a global business.
• Able to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption.
• Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.
• Travel may be required.

• Base compensation is determined by position scope, job related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location.
