Job description

We are Regeneron, a global leader in biopharmaceuticals, dedicated to transforming lives through science. We are seeking a Global Development IT Japan Senior Manager to join our team in Japan. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless integration and enhancement of technology solutions that drive patient safety, regulatory affairs, and quality initiatives. You will collaborate with global and regional stakeholders, contributing to innovative solutions that align with our mission to improve lives.

A Typical Day:

  • Collaborating: Partner with Global BSPs, Domain Leads, and Product Owners to plan, execute, and transition technology projects smoothly.
  • Assessing Needs: Intake, prioritize, and validate Japan-specific IT requirements while ensuring alignment with global initiatives.
  • Managing Vendors: Oversee software/service contracts and vendor relationships, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
  • Driving Development: Lead internal and external teams to deliver projects supporting GD IT in Japan.
  • Supporting Operations: Ensure day-to-day operational support meets business expectations and compliance requirements.
  • Enhancing Systems: Provide SME input for system impact assessments and oversee technical changes related to system improvements.
  • Implementing Technologies: Partner with business stakeholders to introduce new technologies and support migration/user testing activities.

This Role May Be For You If:

  • You are bilingual: Fluent in English and Japanese, with strong communication skills tailored to diverse audiences.
  • You have expertise: Extensive experience in Patient Safety, Regulatory Affairs, and Quality, with knowledge of Global Development domains.
  • You are strategic: Able to analyze business challenges and present innovative technology solutions.
  • You are detail-oriented: Capable of managing budgets, timelines, and stakeholder expectations effectively.
  • You are collaborative: Skilled at working with cross-functional teams, including IT colleagues, business process owners, and vendors.
  • You are adaptable: Comfortable with up to 25% travel and able to act tactically while thinking strategically.

To Be Considered:

  • A Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 10+ years of experience.
  • Proven track record of leading teams and delivering technology projects in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industries.
  • Knowledge of ITIL v3x, SDLC, and agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical Global Development processes, systems, and industry trends.
