Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum of 9 years of accounting experience with a focus on alternative investment funds.
• Experience preparing and reviewing general ledgers, workpapers, and financial statements.
• Deadline oriented with ability to complete assigned tasks independently.
• Strong understanding of fund accounting and investment structures (carried interest, allocations, waterfalls).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Entrilia and/or QuickBooks is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interaction.
• Ownership and accountability for client deliverables and team performance.

Job description

The Senior Manager, Fund Administration position will oversee the delivery of high-quality fund administration services for an assigned portfolio of clients while providing leadership to a handful of junior team members across all levels, and contribute to firm-wide initiatives. This role serves as a technical leader within the organization, ensuring the accuracy and quality of deliverables through quality control reviews, technical guidance, and mentorship. Key Accountabilities

Core Activities

• Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong client relationships with Fund Managers and stakeholders, engage in ongoing service health check-ups on a periodic basis and identify opportunities to enhance service, manage escalated client issues.
• Engagement Leadership: Oversee the delivery of services for assigned client engagements, manage and prioritize deliverables across client teams to ensure deadlines and service level expectations are consistently met.
• Technical Leadership & Quality Oversight: Provide oversight and subject matter expertise across assigned client engagements, perform quality control (QC) reviews of department-wide deliverables in compliance with governing documents and firm standards, review and resolve complex accounting, operational, and client issues while providing guidance to engagement teams, partner with the Director to establish and maintain best practices, technical guidance, and quality standards across engagements.
• Mentorship & Team Leadership: Supervise and train junior staff, providing guidance on complex transactions/issues and fund-specific nuances.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams, including tax and leadership teams and external stakeholders, to ensure deliverables are accurate and timely.
• Process Improvement & Operational Excellence: Identify and implement process improvements, technology enhancements, and best practices that strengthen operational efficiency and internal controls while supporting department initiatives, strategic projects, and other business priorities as assigned.

Knowledge & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (Master’s degree or CPA a plus).
• Minimum of 9 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on alternative investment funds – Venture Capital experience a plus
