Job summary

Sol de Janeiro, headquartered in New York, seeks a Senior Manager, FP&A – Supply Chain to elevate cost visibility, support end-to-end supply chain finance, and lead the SAP S/4HANA implementation project.

You will partner with operations and procurement, build end-to-end financial models, drive KPI development, ROI analyses for CAPEX, and advise on cost-to-serve and margin optimization in a fast-growing, global beauty brand.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business required.
  • 8–10 years of finance experience in high-growth CPG, beauty, or retail.
  • Experience with international operations and working capital optimization.
  • Strong SAP ERP and system implementation experience.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; BI tools a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for Supply Chain functions including COGS, distribution, and procurement.
  • Oversee monthly close activities for Supply Chain; ensure accuracy and alignment with accounting standards.
  • Analyze monthly results and provide commentary on risks, opportunities, and drivers.
  • Conduct gross margin analysis to explain variances and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Evaluate financial implications of distribution networks, logistics, and investments including cost-to-serve by channel and customer.
  • Develop end-to-end financial models from ideation to end sale to support strategic decisions.
  • Build ROI models and business cases for CAPEX, initiatives, and new product introductions.
  • Collaborate with Procurement to track savings and align on sourcing goals.
  • Act as financial gatekeeper in NPD to ensure margins and cost-to-serve targets.
  • Participate in ERP implementations and process standardization; support ESG initiatives.

What You’ll Do

As Sol de Janeiro rapidly expands, we are looking for a Senior Manager, FP&A – Supply Chain, to help manage its outstanding growth.The role reports directly to the Global Head of Finance with the goal of improving visibility of performance in the areas of costing and supply chain.

This role is a key financial partner works cross functionally with other departments delivering data-driven insights, scenario planning, and financial recommendations to support high-level decision-making and long-term business strategies. The ideal candidate will play a key role in end-to-end supply chain financial operations, establishing best-in-class methodology through our SAP S4H Implementation project, and ensuring financial integrity across supply chain processes. This position requires partnering with the accounting team in cost accounting, implementing best practices in cost of goods calculations, and driving efficiency in warehouse and procurement-related financial controls. Additionally, this individual will analyze case studies related to production reform and transformation processes, identifying best practices to improve cost structures, enhance operational efficiency, and drive continuous improvement in supply chain finance. The role will also lead the development and oversight of key performance indicators (KPIs), financial scorecards, and business case evaluations to inform investment decisions preparing required analysis for L’Occitane investment Committee for CAPEX projects, and track ROI across supply chain initiatives.Success in this role requires the ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights, influence senior stakeholders, and create alignment between finance and operations in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

What You’ll Be Working On
  • Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning cycles for all Supply Chain functions, including Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), distribution, & procurement
  • Oversee monthly financial close activities for Supply Chain; validate data accuracy, ensure alignment with accounting standards, and propose necessary adjustments
  • Analyze monthly results, providing insightful commentary to identify financial risks, opportunities, and key business drivers across supply chain operations.
  • Conduct detailed gross margin analysis to explain variances and identify margin improvement opportunities through cost and operational levers
  • Partner with key stakeholders to evaluate the financial implications of distribution network expansion, logistics strategy changes, and infrastructure investments, including in-depth analysis of cost-to-serve and margin performance by channel, customer, and route-to-market.
  • Develop and maintain an end-to-end financial model to assess business performance from new product ideation to end sale, supporting strategic decision-making
  • Build robust ROI models and business cases for capital projects, operational initiatives, process improvements, and new product introductions
  • Collaborate with Procurement teams in tracking savings and align on strategic sourcing goals
  • Serve as a strategic partner in cost accounting processes, ensuring cost structures reflect operational efficiencies, actual cost drivers, and evolving supply chain dynamics
  • Act as a financial gatekeeper during the New Product Development (NPD) process, ensuring margin targets are met and advising on cost-to-serve strategies
  • Participate in strategic initiatives and special projects across the supply chain organization, including ERP implementation and process and reporting standardization, and ESG initiatives
Must Haves
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • 8-10 years of progressive experience in Finance within high-growth, consumer-packaged goods (CPG), beauty, or retail organizations; experience in billion-dollar+ global businesses strongly preferred.
  • Experience with international operations, landed cost modeling, and working capital optimization is required.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP ERP systems (S/4HANA preferred) and experience supporting system implementation, configuration, and financial integration of supply chain processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and data analysis; experience with Business Intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) is a plus
  • Deep expertise in COGS, cost accounting, gross margin analysis, and financial modeling across manufacturing, procurement, logistics, and distribution functions.
  • Experience creating ROI models and investment cases for supply chain initiatives, infrastructure projects, and new product development.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Proactive and agile, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and complex issues simultaneously
  • Proven ability to partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to drive strategic decision-making and business performance.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Strong business acumen and a solutions-oriented mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Experience working in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and high-growth environments delivering time-sensitive results in global or multi-regional company.
