Job summary

Kassen Recruitment is seeking a Senior Manager, FP&A & Financial Reporting for a leadership role with a major infrastructure organization in the United States. You will own budgeting, forecasting, modelling, and reporting, partnering with senior leaders to drive performance in a regulated environment.

This role offers you the chance to lead and develop a finance team, deliver actionable insights, ensure compliance, and contribute to strategic initiatives as the business scales.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
  • CPA designation or equivalent professional credential.
  • Progressive FP&A, financial reporting, and business partnering experience.
  • Experience in a regulated industry, ideally utilities.
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, modelling, and reporting skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities with actionable recommendations.
  • Proven leadership and ability to coach finance teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency with Excel and financial reporting systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead FP&A activities including budgeting, forecasting, modelling and performance analysis.
  • Oversee preparation and delivery of accurate financial reports for senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Analyze financial results, identify trends and variances, and provide recommendations.
  • Develop financial models and reporting tools to support strategic planning.
  • Partner with operational leaders to provide financial guidance and insights.
  • Support long-term planning and evaluate performance against objectives.
  • Ensure reporting is accurate, timely, and compliant with accounting and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead process improvements to strengthen reporting, planning and analysis.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop finance professionals.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives and other finance projects.

Job description

We're recruiting a Senior Manager, FP&A & Financial Reporting for a leadership opportunity with a major infrastructure organization. This role combines financial planning, performance analysis, and reporting, making it an excellent fit for a finance leader with strong experience in complex, regulated environments.

Working closely with senior leadership, you'll provide financial insight that supports operational performance, strategic planning, and informed decision-making. The position also offers the opportunity to lead and develop a finance team while contributing to broader business initiatives.

What You'll Do
  • Lead FP&A activities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and performance analysis.

What You'll Bring
  • CPA designation or another relevant professional accounting designation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Significant progressive experience in FP&A, financial reporting, and business partnering, ideally at the Senior Manager level.
  • Strong experience within the utility or another regulated industry.
  • Experience in the water utility sector is considered a strong asset.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex financial information into actionable recommendations.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop finance professionals.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a complex, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and financial reporting systems.
