About the role

The Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis owns broad strategic financial planning, analytics, and business insights for important departments within the company. The Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis supports Leadership in building opportunities and plans to achieve the near, mid, and long-term topline and margin targets of the organization. The Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis creates new processes, reporting, and guidelines to ensure visibility into patterns and projections, and present findings to senior leadership.

You will report to the Director, FP&A.

If you live within commutable distance to our New York City office (in Hudson Square), our Tempe office (off the 101 at University Dr), or our Los Angeles office (in Marina Del Rey), you will be expected to come into the office at least two days each week. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct financial support to departmental business leaders, including setting of Operating Plan and Strategy targets, evaluating multiple business cases to achieve those targets, and tracking of actuals versus expectations.
  • Provide financial oversight to the identification, validation, execution, and tracking of programs that improve overall financial performance.
  • Prepare initiative Return on investment (ROI), recommend prioritization framework; own quantification of initiative impact into forward-looking projections.
  • Validate proposed economics of proposed strategic transactions, partnerships, and vendor arrangements.
  • Propose new, and improve on existing, FP&A processes and governance.
  • Evaluate, present monthly and quarterly financial results relative to budget and other benchmark data including providing commentary for management reviews.
  • Partner with their departmental teams to lead the best financial results including performance management.
